Some scholars organized a major edited volume on Agamben’s work to commemorate the full publication of Homo Sacer, and I have an essay in it — an Italian translation of “The Theology of Neoliberalism,” from my book with Colby Dickinson. Details here.
Agamben’s Creation and Anarchy available for purchase
My translation of Giorgio Agamben’s Creation and Anarchy: The Work of Art and the Religion of Capitalism is now available for purchase, directly from Stanford University Press or from Amazon. The book collects a series of lectures that were delivered in 2012-2013 (so at the time he had just finished Opus Dei and was finalizing The Use of Bodies) and includes a combination of new and familiar themes.

Conversation on neoliberalism
Research grant
I just learned that I have been awarded a summer research grant by North Central College, to allow me to visit Agamben in Italy and interview him about his work. This will be really important for an eventual book project — and a cool opportunity to meet someone whose work has been a big part of my life for a long time now.
Upcoming travel
In the next few weeks, I am giving talks in two cities — one far-flung, the other closer to home. I will be visiting Prague for my Spring Break, where I will be participating in a roundtable on The Use of Bodies with Colby Dickinson and other luminaries on Wednesday, March 20. An event on Neoliberalism’s Demons is also planned for Tuesday, March 19.
Just in time for me to get over my jetlag, I will be traveling to the University of Dubuque in Iowa, to give a talk on Neoliberalism’s Demons on Thursday, March 28, under the auspices of the UD Scholar-Leader Honors Program and Charles C. Myers Library.
